I started my love of fashion as a teenager working retail. I fell in love with the constant influx of new clothes and designs. Every new shipment that would come into the store was like christmas morning for me. I love to be right in the action to see what consumers are loving, lusting, experiencing, and buying. After five years in retail I had the opportunity to attend Dallas Market to assist the owner in picking out the new merchandise for spring. This opened up an entirely new world to me where I could be an integral part of choosing the fashions that will be available for customers to fall in love with. I was hooked.
In 2010 I started Jenna B’s Boutique, a trendy women’s clothing store specializing in cocktail dresses and casual attire. In this job I honed my managerial skills by leading a team of handpicked sales associates to set and achieve store goals. My thriving role as a business owner was buying and assortment planning, my happy place. I was also in charge of all visual merchandising, styling, social media, and marketing.
